What is GBase Database?
GBASE Nanda General is a domestic independent database service provider focusing on database product R&D and achieving large-scale application in the finance and telecom industries. The GBase 8s shared-storage database cluster and the GBase 8a analytical database are the two main domestic database products of GBASE, each employing different technical architectures for different application scenarios.
GBase 8s is a self-developed, mature, and stable shared-storage database cluster independently created by Nanda General with proprietary intellectual property rights. The product meets the security database Level 4 standard (International B2), supports national cryptographic algorithms, and provides international database standards and development interfaces such as SQL92/99, ODBC, JDBC, ADO.NET, GCI (OCI/OCCI), and Python interfaces. GBase 8s is suitable for OLTP scenarios, including key core business systems in finance, telecom, government, and security sectors. Against the backdrop of increasingly severe security situations, GBase 8s has become a mainstream domestic database product for de-IOE, capable of replacing Oracle in over 90% of scenarios.
What does the GDCA certification training include?
This course starts from zero foundation on GBase 8s, covering principles, installation and deployment, management and maintenance, and basic SQL development. Through learning, participants can quickly deploy GBase 8s shared-storage database clusters in a Linux environment and master basic GBase 8s operation and maintenance tasks such as installation and deployment, management and maintenance, data import/export, and backup.
The entire course is divided into two phases: learning and examination. It includes 14 days of learning, one mock test, and two certification exam attempts. The entire course organizes training and exams via an online learning platform, allowing you to progress step by step and easily master the basics of domestic databases through scientifically reasonable arrangements.
The June training class mainly targets college students from Tianjin, with specially arranged live-stream explanations. The training has a corresponding WeChat study group with dedicated instructors providing guidance and answering questions in the group.

What is the teaching format? Can I replay the lessons?
First, you need to register (registration fee is 1 cent to ensure valid information). After successful registration, you can study, add the instructor on WeChat, and join the study group.
1. Teaching format: Online video recorded course learning + post-class exercises + practical exercises following documents (available on mobile, tablet, or computer). During the learning phase, one course section is unlocked every day at 7 a.m. You can arrange your own study time. It is recommended to join the study exchange group, where professional instructors will answer questions.
2. During the learning period, unlocked course videos can be replayed repeatedly but cannot be downloaded.

How to download the GBase 8s software installation package? How to practice?
Documents are provided for participants to download the GBase 8s database software installation package, prepare the environment, and carry out practical exercises. Participants are required to have a computer with internet access, at least 8GB of memory, install a virtual machine, and download images such as CentOS.

How to take the certification exam? Is the exam free?
- The exam consists of single-choice, multiple-choice, and true/false questions, randomly selected. Full score is 100 points, and a passing score is 80 (GBASE employees need 90 points to pass) to receive the GBase 8s Management Engineer certification certificate. For college student trial training courses, the passing score is 60 points, and reaching 60 points grants the trial training credits.
- You must take the online certification exam within the specified exam date and time.
- After clicking to start the exam, you have 60 minutes to answer. If not submitted after 60 minutes, it will be automatically submitted. If the exam is interrupted unexpectedly (e.g., disconnection), you can log in again and continue the exam as long as the exam time has not expired.
- If you fail, you are given one make-up exam opportunity (failed participants apply to Hao Jun for the make-up exam).
- The certification exam is free.
How long after passing the exam can I receive the certificate?
1. By default, electronic certificates are issued and will be sent to your email within 10 working days after the exam.
2. Paper certificates can be purchased voluntarily according to personal needs (100 RMB). They will be shipped approximately 20 working days after the exam, and a scanned copy will also be sent to your email. The paid fee can be invoiced as an electronic invoice (personal or company).
What should I do if I encounter problems during study?
1. Each training session has a corresponding WeChat study group. When you successfully register, a QR code will pop up prompting you to add the instructor on WeChat as a friend. Then message the instructor "8s", and the instructor will invite you to the study group, where dedicated instructors and enthusiastic participants answer questions (workdays 9 a.m.–6 p.m.).
