1. What about GBASE and GBase Database?
GBASE is a domestic independent database service provider focused on database product R&D and large-scale application in the finance and telecom industries. GBase 8s transaction database and GBase 8a analytical database are the two flagship domestic database products of GBASE, using different technical architectures for different application scenarios.
GBase 8a MPP Cluster (hereinafter referred to as "8a cluster") is independently developed by GBASE, a leading domestic large-scale distributed parallel database cluster system, capable of meeting the growing demands for data analysis, data mining, data backup, and ad hoc queries in various data-intensive industries. It has been deployed on a large scale at hundreds of users including the People's Bank of China, China Banking Regulatory Commission, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, China Mobile, and the General Administration of Customs, with a total of over 25,000 nodes deployed and managing over 200PB of data.
You can learn about the current state of database development and GBASE GBase database in the introductory class on the first day of the course.
2. What does GDCA Certification Training include?
This course starts from zero foundation of 8a cluster product, explaining the principles and basic usage of 8a cluster database.
The whole course lasts nearly one month, divided into two phases: learning and examination. 11 lessons, 2 unit quizzes, and 2 certification exam attempts. During the learning period, dedicated teachers will answer questions promptly in the WeChat group. Training and examination are organized in the form of an online training camp, allowing step-by-step and easy mastery of domestic database fundamentals through scientific and reasonable arrangements.
3. What is the course format? Can I replay the videos?
First, you need to register. After successful registration, you can start learning (available on mobile, tablet, or PC).
1. Course format: Online recorded video courses + In-class exercises/hands-on practices + Phase quizzes. During the learning phase, one lesson is unlocked every day at 7 a.m. Learning time can be arranged independently; it is recommended to join the learning exchange group to stay informed about course schedules and get questions answered.
2. During the learning period, unlocked course videos can be watched repeatedly but cannot be downloaded.

4. How to do exercises to test learning effectiveness?
Each lesson has a related exercise in the "Classroom Interaction" below the video playback. Currently, exercises can only be done on mobile (phone, tablet) and can be repeated. Exercises come with answer analysis; PC is not supported yet.
5. How to download 8a cluster installation package? How to practice?
Provide documents for learners to download 8a cluster installation package, prepare environment, and do hands-on practice.

6. How to take the certification exam? Is it free?
Online certification exam must be taken within the exam dates, time of your choice. Question types: single choice, multiple choice, and true/false. Questions are random. Exam duration 60 minutes, total score 100, passing score 80 (GBASE employees: 90 to pass). 2 exam attempts, the highest score recorded.
Exam fee explanation:
1. Any learner who studies as required, completes both phase quizzes, and carefully fills out the training survey will receive a 50 yuan exam coupon before the exam, which can be used to take the exam for free.
2. Pay 50 yuan exam fee to directly participate in the certification exam.
7. How long after passing the exam will I receive the certificate?
1. Electronic certificate is issued by default, sent to your email within 10 working days after the exam.
2. Paper certificate can be purchased voluntarily for a fee (100 yuan) according to personal needs, and will be mailed within approximately 20 working days after the exam; a scanned copy will also be sent to your email.
8. What to do if I encounter problems during learning?
1. Each training session has a corresponding WeChat learning group. Upon successful registration, a QR code pops up, prompting you to add the teacher as a friend on WeChat, then send a message "8a" to the teacher. The teacher will invite you into the learning group, where dedicated teachers and enthusiastic learners answer questions (working days 9:00–20:00).

9. What if I don't have time now, can I learn later?
8a cluster certification course can be learned at any time during the open period, but exams are held on fixed dates. If you miss the exam, you can only join a subsequent training session. Please follow messages in the learning group or the "GBASE Training Center" official account.
