Despite your busy schedule, you are participating in the certification training for the GBase domestic database, a product of Nanda General Technology Co., Ltd. with 17 years of development history and tens of thousands of nodes running nationwide. 1. What are Nanda General Technology and GBase Database like?
Nanda General Technology is a domestic independent database service provider focused on database product R&D and has achieved large-scale application in the financial and telecommunications industries.
GBase 8a MPP Cluster (hereinafter referred to as "8a Cluster") is a self-developed, domestically leading large-scale distributed parallel database cluster system by Nanda General Technology. It has the capability to meet the growing demands for data analysis, data mining, data backup, and ad-hoc queries in various data-intensive industries. It has been deployed at scale in hundreds of users including the People's Bank of China, China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, China Mobile, and General Administration of Customs, with a total of over 25,000 deployed nodes managing over 200PB of data.
2. What does the GDCA certification training include?
This course starts from zero basics of the 8a Cluster product, explaining the principles and basic usage of the 8a Cluster database.
The entire course is planned for one month, divided into learning and examination phases: 10 lessons, 2 unit tests, and 2 certification exam attempts. During the learning period, dedicated instructors will provide timely answers in the WeChat group. The training and examination are organized in an online bootcamp format, allowing you to gradually and easily master the fundamentals of domestic databases through a scientifically reasonable arrangement.
3. What is the specific schedule for the July summer class?
July 15 – August 4
Self-study videos + hands-on practice + in-class assignments + unit tests; recommended study time is 2 hours per day.
August 5 – 7
Certification exam. You can choose any one-hour slot within these three days to take the online exam; you may take it twice, with a 30-minute interval between attempts.

2. From July 15 to August 4, 2021, course videos can be watched repeatedly but cannot be downloaded.
5. How to do exercises to test learning outcomes?
1. "Exercises" can only be done on mobile devices, can be repeated, and come with answer explanations; PC is not supported at the moment.
2. There are two types of "exercises":
(1) During video playback, practice questions will randomly pop up at key knowledge points;
(2) The "Classroom Interaction" section of the video course may be linked to an exercise.
6. How to download the 8a Cluster installation package? How to practice?
A series of documents are provided for participants to download the 8a Cluster installation package, prepare the environment, and perform hands-on exercises.

8. If I don't have time now, can I study later?
The 8a Cluster certification course can be studied at any time during the open period, but the exam is held on fixed dates. If you miss the exam, you can only participate in subsequent training. Please follow the learning group or the "Nanda Training Center" official account.
9. How to take the certification exam? Is the exam free?
1. Exam time: August 5–7, you can choose any one-hour slot to take the exam. There are two exam attempts, with a 30-minute interval between them.
2. All participants who enter the university summer class will receive a free 50-yuan exam voucher, meaning you can take the exam for free.
10. How long after passing the exam will I receive the certificate?
1. The electronic certificate will be sent to your email within 10 working days.
2. The paper certificate will be mailed within approximately 20 working days, and a scanned copy will also be sent to your email.
