Product Introduction
GBase 8a MPP Cluster Database (referred to as 8a Cluster) is independently developed by GBase as a leading large-scale distributed parallel processing database cluster in China. It has been widely applied in finance, telecommunications, government, national defense, enterprises, and other fields. The 8a Cluster has become a powerful support for data warehouses and decision support systems. Nearly 90% of GBase product users say the product has superior performance and comprehensive functions. Its good market feedback makes more and more users demand in-depth learning.
Course Introduction
This course starts from zero basics of the 8a Cluster product, explaining the principles and basic usage of the 8a Cluster database. The course is divided into two stages: learning and examination, with 14 days of study, 2 unit tests, and 2 certification exam opportunities. The entire course organizes training and exams through an online learning platform, with scientific and reasonable arrangements, enabling step-by-step and easy mastery of domestic database fundamentals.
Learning Objectives:
- Help students understand the working principles, functional features, and deployment strategies of the 8a Cluster, and establish the basic concepts of database MPP architecture;
- Enable students to master the installation, management, and maintenance of the 8a Cluster database, and be able to solve some cluster status anomaly issues;
Enable students to master data operations on a single virtual cluster database, including inserting, deleting, updating, and querying data in the database, managing and assigning user permissions, viewing system tables, etc.

Feedback from Previous Participants
Manager of a bank's technology department: This training was remote and very convenient. Not only was the training free, but it also provided cloud servers for students to practice. The core was the detailed explanation of knowledge points in the videos. The teacher was patient and timely in answering questions in the group. Moreover, we studied with questions to solve confusion, making it more targeted. For example, the lesson on the client helped us correct some previously inaccurate usage.
Auditor at the Head Office of Jiangxi Bank: This training model was novel, focusing on the students' experience. Different from a single lecture mode, it emphasized interaction and communication. After the training, course notes were organized and shared with the students. At the same time, there were after-class exercises and periodic tests, which played an important role in consolidating learning outcomes and verifying learning effectiveness. The instructors' Q&A and detailed explanations provided a good start for students of various backgrounds to quickly grasp, deepen understanding, get hands-on, and subsequently use the product.
Big Data Project Manager at Hande Information: This training had over ten days of courses, requiring only 1-2 hours per day. It covered GBase's history and features, deployment and installation, routine usage, and monitoring—very comprehensive. After unit quizzes, one could take the final certification. Good performance and high participation even brought discounts on exam and certificate fees. I must say the arrangements were very well done, with both "carrots" and "sticks". Haha, I like this model; it can arouse everyone's interest, encourage broad participation, and avoid the embarrassment of the entire course being a mere formality. I highly recommend that friends who haven't participated yet join the next learning session.
Technical Expert from Chongqing Bank's technology department: To solve the performance bottlenecks of centralized architecture databases in data analysis system applications, Chongqing Bank conducted comparative tests on multiple products in terms of high availability, stability, cluster functionality, and cluster performance, and finally chose GBase's GBase 8a MPP Cluster to build a new-generation data warehouse. Through this training, I gained a deeper understanding and practical operation opportunities of the GBase 8a MPP Cluster's basic architecture, core technologies, applicable scenarios, and SQL usage, providing technical reserves for future work.
IT Product Manager at Jiangsu Mobile: The trainer's lecture was like a sumptuous feast, exquisitely presented in the training classroom. Truly, "Listening to your words is better than reading ten years of books." The trainer unreservedly shared her experience with everyone, explaining profound concepts in simple terms, which was brilliant and colorful.
Architect from a Hubei archive technology company: The free GBase training opportunity gave me a whole new understanding of GBase's products. The training had a lot of content; I spent a few days on intensive learning. The content in the videos was very useful; most of it I used in testing. Also, the SQL compatibility of the database was good; except for some specific syntax, it was compatible with common database products. Through trying, I also migrated previous projects to the GBase database, which felt quite simple. One thing worth mentioning is that the training is free, while similar training from other vendors can cost thousands. I think this is very conscientious. It shows that GBase is building a direct ecosystem rather than just focusing on money. I believe the products from such a conscientious company will also be excellent.
