Product Introduction

GBase 8a MPP Cluster (hereinafter referred to as “8a cluster”) is a large-scale distributed parallel processing database cluster independently developed by GBASE, leading domestically, also known as a distributed logical data warehouse. It is capable of meeting the growing demands for data analysis, data mining, data backup, and ad-hoc queries in various data-intensive industries. GBase 8a MPP Cluster has supported over 200 large enterprise users at home and abroad. Domestically: it supports key business systems such as the core data warehouse of Agricultural Bank of China, the big data platform of Bank of China, the enterprise-wide business center analysis domain data warehouse of State Grid, the centralized business analysis data warehouse of China Mobile Group, as well as big data platforms in more than 20 provinces for China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom. Abroad: GBase 8a MPP Cluster has been exported to more than 30 countries -- the United States, Russia, Germany, Mexico, Pakistan, etc. Currently, the total number of deployed nodes exceeds 45,000, and managed data exceeds 400PB.

Course Introduction

This series of courses starts from zero basis of the 8a cluster product, explaining the basic principles, operation and maintenance, and SQL syntax of the 8a cluster database. The entire course is divided into two stages: learning and examination. 10 days of study, two mock exam opportunities, and two certification exam opportunities. Online self-study, online tutoring, online examination, combining theory with practice, step-by-step to easily master basic knowledge of domestic databases.

Learning Objectives:

  • Help students understand the working principles, functional features and deployment strategies of the 8a cluster, and establish basic concepts of database MPP architecture.

  • Enable students to master the installation, management and maintenance of the 8a cluster database, and be able to solve some cluster abnormal state issues.

  • Enable students to master data operations on a single virtual cluster database, including adding, deleting, modifying, and querying database table data, managing and assigning user permissions, viewing system tables, etc.
