Product Introduction

GBase 8a MPP Cluster (hereinafter referred to as "8a Cluster") is a domestically developed, leading large-scale distributed parallel processing database cluster, also known as a distributed logical data warehouse. It has the capability to meet the growing demands for data analysis, data mining, data backup, and ad-hoc queries in various data-intensive industries. GBase 8a MPP Cluster has supported over 200 large enterprise users both domestically and internationally. Domestically: it supports core data warehouses of the Agricultural Bank of China, the big data platform of Bank of China, the all-business center analysis domain data warehouse of State Grid, the centralized business analysis data warehouse of China Mobile, and big data platforms of over 20 provinces for China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom, among other critical business systems. Internationally: GBase 8a MPP Cluster has been exported to over 30 countries including the United States, Russia, Germany, Mexico, and Pakistan. Currently, the total number of deployed nodes exceeds 45,000, managing over 400PB of data.

Course Introduction

This series of courses starts from the basics of 8a Cluster, covering the fundamental principles, operation and maintenance, and SQL syntax of the 8a Cluster database. The entire course is divided into learning and examination phases, with 10 days of study, two mock exam opportunities, and two certification exam opportunities. Online self-study, online tutoring, and online exams combine theory and practice, allowing for step-by-step, easy mastery of domestic database fundamentals.

Learning Objectives:

  • Help students understand the working principles, functional features, and deployment strategies of 8a Cluster, and establish basic concepts of MPP database architecture.

  • Enable students to master the installation, management, and maintenance of 8a Cluster database, and be able to resolve some cluster abnormal status issues.

  • Enable students to perform data operations on a single virtual cluster database, including adding, deleting, modifying, and querying database table data, managing and assigning user permissions, and viewing system tables.
