The GBASE Training Center plans to hold the "2024 GBase Database University Student Summer Training Program" on August 2nd this year. GBASE is a domestic database service provider focusing on database product R&D and has achieved large-scale application in the financial and telecommunications industries. As one of the first 22 units included in the Xinchuang Training Projects of the Talent Center of the Information Technology Application Innovation Working Committee, and also a Tianjin University Student Internship Base, it cooperates with universities every year to carry out database training for college students. This training session will help students quickly master the domestic transactional database GBase 8s, combining theory with practice, highly practical, and completely free. Product Introduction
GBase 8s is a mature and stable shared-storage database cluster independently developed by GBASE. This technology supports multiple computing nodes sharing one disk data, and all nodes support both reading and writing. The product meets national security evaluation standards, supports national cryptographic algorithms, and supports international database specifications and development interfaces such as SQL92/99, ODBC, JDBC, ADO.NET, GCI (OCI/OCCI), and Python interface, with independent intellectual property rights. It supports master-standby deployment, shared-storage high-availability deployment, and two-site three-center high-availability deployment, featuring high capacity, high concurrency, and high performance, providing a cost-effective general computing platform for ultra-large-scale data management.
GBase 8s is suitable for OLTP application scenarios, including key core business systems in the financial and telecommunications industries, and information systems in security, party and government, national defense and other industries that have high requirements for information security. It can provide 7x24 uninterrupted processing capabilities.
Course Introduction
For students who are interested in domestic databases and are willing to engage in database delivery, operation and maintenance, and pre-sales support in the future, this course will help you understand domestic databases and master the principles and basic operation and maintenance development of GBase 8s.
This course starts from zero foundation of GBase 8s, learning the principles, installation and deployment, management and operation, and basic SQL development of 8s. Through learning, students can quickly deploy GBase 8s transactional domestic database in a Linux environment, and master basic GBase 8s operation and maintenance operations: installation and deployment, management and maintenance, data import and export, backup, and other functions.
Training Schedule
The entire course is divided into two stages: learning and examination, with 13 days of learning (including one mock exam) and two certification exam opportunities. The whole course is organized through an online learning platform for training and exams, with daily study reminders in the group, training materials provided in HTML documents, and professional teachers answering questions. Through scientific and reasonable arrangements, step by step, you can easily master the basic knowledge of domestic databases.

This course requires participants with some basic knowledge of Linux and databases. It is recommended to have a computer with at least 8GB of memory for practice.
